How many porta potties do I need for my job?
OSHA 1926.51(c) sets the minimum: one toilet facility for 20 workers or fewer. From 20 to 40 workers, you need one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers. At 200 or more, the ratio climbs to one of each per 50 workers. If you're running an event in Sunrise with catering or alcohol, plan for extra units because people use them more often. A construction site with a morning crew and an afternoon shift may need two units where a single shift needs one. Hand-labor crews in agricultural settings fall under different rules: OSHA 1928.110 requires one facility per 20 employees within a quarter mile walk. Check the How Many Porta Potties Do I Need guide for your specific setup.
What's the difference between standard and deluxe?
Standard units are about 44 by 48 inches on the ground and stand 92 inches tall. They come with a seat, urinal and holding tank. Deluxe models add an internal sink with a foot pump, soap and paper towels, plus hand sanitizer. Both get serviced on the same schedule: baseline is one visit per week for up to 10 users over a 40 hour week, per ANSI/PSAI Z4.3. If your crew is larger or the weather is hot, ask for twice-weekly service in Sunrise. Deluxe flushable porta potties run higher daily and weekly rates, but they cut down on odor and feel more like a real bathroom. For events, the difference matters more than it does on a quiet construction site.

Do you serve the towns near Sunrise?
We cover Sunrise and the surrounding area. Tamarac is 3.6 miles north, Lauderdale Lakes is 4.6 miles east and North Lauderdale is 5.8 miles northeast. Same-day delivery is possible for most requests, and we keep restroom trailers, dumpsters and storage containers in stock. If you're planning a festival or wedding in any of those towns, call us first: we'll confirm availability and quote you the same day.
What do I do if my septic tank backs up on a weekend?
Sunrise Porta Pros runs emergency service seven days a week. Septic tank pumping on Saturday or Sunday costs more than a weekday call, but we come out the same day if you call before noon. A residential septic tank is typically pumped every 3 to 5 years, driven by tank size and household size. If you're seeing slow drains or smell septic gas near your tank, don't wait. We pump grease interceptors when fats, oils, grease and solids reach 25 percent of the liquid depth, a condition that can block your whole system. Emergency septic service is available by phone.
Can I put a dumpster in my driveway without a permit?
That depends on Sunrise zoning. Placement in the public right of way needs confirming with the city. Most private driveways work fine as long as the container isn't blocking a sight line or a utility box. Dumpster permit requirements vary, so call us and we'll walk you through it. A roll-off needs about 60 feet of straight clearance behind the truck to set down safely. We've handled dozens of jobs in Sunrise, we know the tight driveways and the steep slopes.
Do handwashing stations satisfy OSHA rules?
No. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2) requires soap, towels or a hand drying device. Hand sanitizer does not satisfy this. If your crew is applying paints, coatings, herbicides or insecticides, OSHA 1926.51(f)(1) requires dedicated washing facilities at the site. Handwashing station rental includes a tank, pump, soap and paper towels. For jobs where contamination is a risk, a portable sink is the right move.
